today is the first day of the rest of your life...
Next time will be my Halifax entry. It was one year ago that I was there, and right now, it's a freaking mess. So sad.Anyway, in the hopes of making myself write more often, I'm going to be stealing an idea from Sushi, and doing a (maybe somewhat) daily log. So, today, October 2. 7:15am: Hit snooze button. It's way too early for me to be up, and I'm nice and toasty warm in my bed. 7:24am: Snooze. 7:33am: Ditto. 7:42am: Hit snooze button. Think about actually getting up this time. Turn over and pull covers higher up my neck. 7:51am: Fuck. Officially very late. Roll out of bed, and stumble to bathroom and do bathroom morning things. 8am: Hey! The heater is on! Score. The air isn't very warm, but at least it's blowing. Make mental note to knock on upstairs neighbour's door to ask them to turn temperature up. 8:15am: Brush teeth. Hurry to gather all my stuff for work. I was late yesterday morning due to streetcar running 15 minutes behind schedule, and I want to be on time today. 8:30am Reach corner near streetcar stop. There's one streetcar already there, and another on it's way. Crap. If I miss them, then there will be the lovely 15 minute wait, and I'll be late AGAIN. Early morning sprint time. Catch the second streetcar, which is pretty empty, so I have lots of seats to choose from. Go for the anti-social single seats. No way some freak is going to try to talk to me now. Turn up volume on walman. 8:50am Arrive at work really early. Damn. I just can't get it right. Wander around in the hopes of wasting time. Finally talk to Anne to discuss when we can meet so that we can talk about the possibility of hiring me permanently. Give someone half an hours notice that they'll need to cover me for a while at reception. 9am-5pm: Work. Blahblahblah. Meet with Anne, and it's pretty finalized that they're hiring me, they just have to work out a few of the details, and they'll present a formal offer to me on Monday. Glad that's all figured out and out of the way. Wonder if the Wolfgang who was here yesterday could be the same Wolfgang that eh-mee hangs out with. He did have a very scenester-y haircut, and was wearing very mod-ish pin-striped pants. That would be funny. Work continues, blahblahblah. 5-5:45pm: Walk home. Wonder when I will run into psychopants on my walk home, as I know she lives somewhere in the area I walk through. Decide I don't really care, because it would just be her glaring at me, and me wondering what the fuck her problem is, and deciding I don't care about that either. Whatever. 6pm: Go vote, even though I know the evil Tory disguised as a Liberal is going to win by a landslide. Wander over to Blockbuster on my way home, and rent Bend It Like Beckham, even if I did only see it just over a month ago. JRM is hott. 6:30pm-present: Watch movie. Knit my amazingly long scarf. Catch up on the internet (it's the first time I've turned on my computer at home in about three weeks.). Try to find election results. Try not to be too annoyed by said results. Get headache. Finish this, and go to bed. This will probably be boring for most people, so I'm not really going to send out any notify list stuffs. Next time I'll use more full sentences, and try to spice it up a bit. xo
